Exploring the Delhi Zoo for the #Take12Trips challenge in March

Ok, I’ll admit it. I cheated. Just a little bit.
My original travel plans for the month of March, and what would have made for a more exciting addition to my #Take12Trips Challenge, got cancelled at the last minute.

Since this happened right at the end of the month, it didn’t leave me much time to make any alternate travel plans. I was pretty bummed for a few days, disappointed that just two months in to the challenge, I had already failed.

Diggin at Anand Lok – putting all other Shakes to shame

It’s times like these I wish I was still in college, a carefree Delhi University student.
If I was still in college, or if a place like Diggin had opened up opposite my campus all those years ago, this is where I would always be.

Monthly Instagram Roundup – March 2014

The month of March was a disappointing one, to say the least!
My travel plans as part of the #Take12Trips Challenge unfortunately fell through at the last moment
(but more on that later).

Even though the month was completely uneventful in terms of travel, it turned out to be quite eventful when it came to Eating Out and trying out new restaurants around the city!

Here’s a look back at the month, through Instagram.

The Blue Door Cafe, Khan Market

I first visited The Blue Door Café way back in the winter of 2012, just a few weeks after it apparently opened. I happened upon it purely by chance; at a time when I didn’t even know the original inhabitant of the spot – Mrs. Kaur’s Crepes – had ceased to be.

Why I DON’T want to visit Malaysia

Malaysia: Truly Asia.

Malaysia’s advertising campaign has captured hearts and minds for years. And with the recent Visit Malaysia Year 2014 (VMY2014) tourism campaign that is being marketed superbly on social media platforms off late, there’s no better time for travelers than now. With non-stop festivals and events lined up throughout the year, anyone in their right mind would love to visit Malaysia. Me on the other hand, I’m a little apprehensive.

Turkish Food Festival at the Shangri-La’s Eros Hotel, New Delhi

You know what I love about a good meal? Well, other than the pleasure of satisfying your taste buds, a good meal, sometimes, has the potential to transport you to a completely different time and place. To a country or city you have never been to but can imagine experiencing through its food; or better yet to a place you HAVE been to and have only the fondest memories of.

Next up in the #Take12Trips Challenge: Jaypee Residency Manor in Mussoorie – The Good AND The Bad

Another month, another trip. The #Take12Trips Challenge is going well so far, I would say. :)

To meet the challenge for the month of February, I headed to Mussoorie, the nearest hill station to Delhi; and what we Indians like to call the Queen of the Hills.

Monthly Instagram Roundup – February 2014

February is the shortest month of the year, sure.
But this Feb really seems to have passed by in the blink of an eye.

Here’s a look back at the month, through Instagram.

The Pizza Place Series: Episode 3, in Mumbai

I’m sure you need a recap.
Heck, I need a recap; it’s been so long since the last episode aired.
So here’s the Pilot, and Episode 2 of this ongoing series chronicling my love affair with Pizza.

For Episode 3, we travel to Mumbai to sample Pizza in the City of Dreams. And what I found really was the stuff of dreams.
