Another month, another trip. The #Take12Trips Challenge is going well so far, I would say.
To meet the challenge for the month of February, I headed to Mussoorie, the nearest hill station to Delhi; and what we Indians like to call the Queen of the Hills.
February is the shortest month of the year, sure.
But this Feb really seems to have passed by in the blink of an eye.
Here’s a look back at the month, through Instagram.
I’m sure you need a recap.
Heck, I need a recap; it’s been so long since the last episode aired.
So here’s the Pilot, and Episode 2 of this ongoing series chronicling my love affair with Pizza.
For Episode 3, we travel to Mumbai to sample Pizza in the City of Dreams. And what I found really was the stuff of dreams.
I have found a new place for our Delhi Breakfast Tradition!
Our “usual” has been left far, far behind.
I did it! I finally made it to Cyber Hub!
But considering I spend a minimum of 45 hours a week in Gurgaon, I honestly cannot believe it has taken me this long. Better late than never, I suppose?
So what was the first restaurant to be ticked off the list? Why, Soda Bottle Openerwala, of course!
I thought January was a bit of an uneventful month for me, both on the blog and otherwise.
I did manage to squeeze in a short trip, but the rest of the month seems to have passed by with me stuck either under a pile of work, or a pile of blankets.
But a quick look back at January 2014, through Instragram, shows it wasn’t such a bad month after all.
I randomly typed the words ‘my kind of place’ into Zomato’s search engine the other day. Well, not entirely randomly. I was searching for the menu of a particular restaurant located nearby to where I live, the name of which was something to that effect, hoping to just order in at the end of a cold and lazy day. I couldn’t quite remember the exact name, hence my choice of key words.
Zomato, being the wonderful online restaurant guide that it is, popped the name of Ivy & Bean up onto my screen. Serendipitously, that’s exactly what it turned out to be: my kind of place.
Everyone’s been very excited that Yauatcha recently opened in New Delhi. Yes it has come all the way from London, Yes it is now one of three in India, the other two being in Mumbai and Bangalore, and Yes the original is Michelin-starred. Located on the second floor of Ambience Mall in Vasant Kunj, did it live up to all the hype?
This is a New Year.
A New Beginning.
And things will change.
2013 is almost over.
Part of me cannot believe another year has almost come to an end. It seems like it was just yesterday that I was working on my First Blog Post here at Life On My Plate.
But that was more than 6 months ago.
On the other hand, I am also eagerly awaiting 2014.
There are some travel plans, some general life plans, and lots of Life On My Plate Plans.
