When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it!

2014 is coming to a close, and while I most certainly cannot believe another year has flown by so rapidly, when I pause to reflect on these twelve months, I’m filled with nothing but pride.
I’m on a quest to Take12Trips this year, and the challenge is in its final leg!!! 🙂
For Trip # 11 (Yay Me!), I flew to the city of Hyderabad in the last week of November, for another short weekend getaway. I was attending a friend’s wedding, so while most of my time in Hyderabad was spent at the festivities, there was no way I would be leaving without exploring at least some of the city’s many, many highlights.
I’ve been invited to a Virtual Dinner Party by the lovely ladies Ayla from Mrs. Ayla’s Adventures and Shikha from Why Waste Annual Leave. Both their dinner party menus are delicious, and you can read about them here and here.
I cannot believe it is December already!
This year seems to have raced past, leaving a swirl of superb memories in its wake.
Here’s a look back at the past month, through Instagram.
193 UN-recognised countries in the world, not enough time to visit them all!
That’s the school of thought I usually subscribe to. Every time it comes to selecting a destination to visit, I usually tend towards someplace I haven’t been before.
New cities to visit, new sights and sounds to experience, new cultures to immerse myself in, new food to stuff my face with!
It’s the ‘Age of The List’, of sorts.
And nowhere else is this truer than in the Blogosphere.

The list of “lists” on the internet would be never-ending.
Heck, there are even multiple lists on Why We Love Lists!
I first visited SodaBottleOpenerWala way back in February of this year when the new Cyber Hub eatery in Gurgaon was pretty much the talk of the town. My impression of the restaurant at that time was a mix of good and bad, which I wrote about here. While the décor and ambience certainly appealed to me, the food during that meal left much to be desired. I left that day, feeling that I wouldn’t be too keen to return, and I didn’t.
But then they went and opened another outlet in one of my favourite locations – Khan Market, and an invitation for the opening found its way into my Inbox.
October is, without a doubt, one of my favourite months in the year.
I’m on a quest to Take12Trips this year, and it’s going VERY well so far. 🙂
In January I visited Mumbai and in February I took another quick trip to Mussoorie; I explored the Delhi Zoo in March and had a fantastic time traipsing around Europe in April. In May I went off to Shimla up in the hills to escape Delhi’s unbearable heat and in June a work trip took me to Manila, Philippines. I then flew to New York City to spend 10 glorious summer days in July and August meandering around Manhattan and falling in love with Brooklyn. September had yet another trip in store!
Ask anyone in Delhi to suggest a good restaurant for an Al Fresco Italian meal in the city, and Tonino will usually, if not always, find its way on to the list. For 10 years, they’ve been providing us Delhi-ites with consistently good food in a gorgeous setting.
They now bring to us Caffe Tonino, a more relaxed and laid-back setting to its dignified Tuscan sibling on MG Road. Caffe Tonino recently opened its doors in Connaught Place (CP), right at the heart of our city.
